Artist's Description

The legendary An-124 Ruslan (Nato reporting name: Condor) is the largest military transport aircraft in the world thanks to its giant take-off weight of 392t. The An-124-100, designed by the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing company Antonov Design Bureau, can carry a payload of 120t and is capable of transporting heavy and oversized cargoes, as well as various combat vehicles.
The Antonov 124 was designed by the Russian engineer Viktor Tolmachev, who is also the designer for Antonov-225 Mriya, and its first flight was conducted in December 1982.

About Helga Novelli

Helga Novelli

Italian photographer, graduated in Digital Media Design from the University of the Arts London. Along with motion graphics I have grown an interest in photography too, in particular infrared. I enjoy taking pictures in locations that leave time and space for reflection giving me the chance to become intimate with the surroundings. Images of often solitary places may evoke melancholic feelings, even romantic sometimes, and the presence of few or no people reveal a reserved character, yet sensitive.
