Artist's Description
At Abney Park cemetery in London stands the gravestone of John Spreat, a prominent Congregationalist. The neogothic monument was designed by Alfred Waterhouse.
The image may present some noise which is a characteristic of long exposure infrared photographs and makes the image more organic, while its softness gives a sense of ethereality.
About Helga Novelli
Italian photographer, graduated in Digital Media Design from the University of the Arts London. Along with motion graphics I have grown an interest in photography too, in particular infrared. I enjoy taking pictures in locations that leave time and space for reflection giving me the chance to become intimate with the surroundings. Images of often solitary places may evoke melancholic feelings, even romantic sometimes, and the presence of few or no people reveal a reserved character, yet sensitive. Yea, thanks. The thing is I shoot with a prime 50mm, a bit restrictive sometimes.
